Secondary Schools Hui

SPARC facilitated this series of hui across New Zealand in June 2009. These hui were for personnel working in sport and recreation in secondary schools.

The hui covered two broad ideas:

1. Sport and recreation provides useful contexts for explicit learning within each secondary school’s school curriculum.
2. The whole school approach in secondary schools is feasible both cognitively and operationally.

The hui included a range of PowerPoint slide shows, video footage from Mana College and Paraparaumu College, and interactive discussion activities.
